Shamyl Khan
 The tall and handsome Shamyl Khan is a renowned television and film personality. He was discovered by veteran director Syed Noor, who cast him in his film Larki Punjaban.
It was his exceptional acting skills and impressive personality that got him noticed in his debut film, which later turned out to be the most successful film of the year. The passionate actor was working as a field engineer in an oil firm before entering showbiz. These days Shamyl is completely concentrating on television because of a dearth of good film-making in Pakistan. He has been cast in several plays, serials and tele films as a main lead or a supporting actor. Recently Mag4you.com had a little chit chat with him. Excerpts:
What does showbiz mean to you?
It is my profession and whatever I am today it is just because of it.
What would be your dream role?
I have been working in showbiz for quite a long time and I have played plenty of roles. All these characters are close to my heart.
What is your all time favourite program or drama on television?
These days everyone is doing superb work. I have witnessed some of the finest performances in recent years, but my all time favourite is 50/50.
Who is your all time favourite singer?
I am a big fan of Mohammad Rafi. I love all his songs.
How do you spend your free time?
When I am not working I try to give quality time to my family and friends. My family deserves my attention and love more than anyone else.
 What is your favourite food?
I love all Pakistani food items.
If you weren't an actor, what would you want to do?
I would either be a lawyer or a policeman.
Who is your favourite designer?
My favourite designer is Hassan Sheheryar Yasin.
