Neha

NehaWhenever the name Neha pops up in the fashion industry it sends all minds working, trying to figure out which Neha is being referred to - the Lahore-based dusky dame or the Karachi-based siren. In this case, it’s the Karachi-based model Neha, who is featured on our spotlight this week.

Neha has been in the field for some time now dabbling a bit in every genre; be it acting, ramp modeling or commercial modeling (for TVCs) you can be sure of the girl being there. Although she had always pledged her loyalties to ramp modeling, as of recent there seems to be a shift in her preferences as she is seen doing serials or long plays as opposed to modeling.

Work and her son keep this gal busy the entire day. If not at work, she is sure to be by her little one’s side, for sure. Here, she shares with us her style preferences.

What's your style code?
Funky.

What do you wear on off-days?
I prefer casual attire - loose pajamas paired with a sando.

Who's your style inspiration?
Maheen Khan.

What's your formal going-out look?
Depends on the occasion; though I’m in love with my cocktail dresses.

What's your fave hair style?
Ironed straight.

Are you high maintenance?
Previously I used to splurge on anything and everything I fancied. However, I have now become a normal spender, spending wisely on myself and my son.

What's your one beauty/style essential?
My shades.

Do you have a signature scent?
Yes, Issey Miyake… I like light fragrances.

How do you keep your body buff?
By dieting and walking regularly. I don’t go to the gym.

Any style blunders you want to reveal?
Last year I was hell-bent upon getting my hair streaked in three tones. Although the stylist tried to dissuade me saying it will not look good on me but I was adamant. And the result was not what I had expected in the least. That was a blunder that will certainly never be repeated.

NehaWhat's the most expensive item in your wardrobe?
My cocktail dresses.

Which item from your wardrobe do you love the most?
The same cocktail dresses designed by international designers.

Lastly, your message to the readers who are reading your interview?
One thing I have learnt is that being judgmental is one of the worst things anyone can do. Accepting people and change is the only way to combat negativity in life.
