Bushra Ansari
It would be a shame to write some kind of an introduction for our veteran actor Bushra Ansari whose name is synonymous with versatility. One of the most versatile actors of our industry, the lady has done justice to whichever genre of arts she has dabbled in. Be it acting, singing, or mimicry Bushra has always done a superb job of each. We remember her from her early days on PTV when she used to slide into varied characters and managed to stun the audience with her talent. Be it Madam Noor or Mussarat Nazir, Bushra was a natural mimic.
Despite being talented she disappeared from the showbiz scene for some time when she was busy being a mother to her two beautiful daughters. However, she has now more than made up for her absence by making frequent appearances in TV dramas, talk shows while also scripting simultaneously. On her present preoccupations she says, “I'm not much interested in doing a whole bunch of things simultaneously; basically I'm more into quality stuff. Quantity comes next or stands nowhere. I am doing my own talk show Brunch with Bushra. I have written a comic drama serial, planning for a serious one as well. That's it. I don't do long term planning.”
Here, she shares with our readers her style preferences.
What's your style code? Trendy and attractive.
What do you wear on off-days? Pajamas and t-shirt.
Who's your style inspiration? Umm, many.. They keep on changing.
What's your formal going-out look? Glamourous and stylish.
What's your fave hair style? Mostly the same look you watch on television.
Are you high maintenance? Not at all. I like good stuff and it's not always designer.
What's your one beauty/style essential? Proper make up and hair.
Do you have a signature scent? That too keeps on changing.
How do you keep your body buff? God has been very kind to me… I walk but not regularly.
Any style blunders you want to reveal? Oh my God! Once I had a photo shoot at my place in '84. On the title of the magazine my nail colour was chipped so badly. I can never forget that.
What's the most expensive item in your wardrobe? Outfits by local designers and my diamond rings.
Which item from your wardrobe do you love the most? My saris. I've a good eye for collecting saris… and you all tell me that.
