Fakhir Mehmood
Genre: Pop/Rock
Hometown: Pakistan
Singing to his own tune People still rave about the mischievous tunes of 'Mr
Fraudiay' by Awaz. The term boy band was still new to the scene and within four
years Awaz became a roaring success. Like almost all commercially successful
bands, a split seemed mandatory. The band disbanded and synth–player–composer
Faakhir and vocalist Haroon Aaron parted ways – each treading their own path.
Haroon came up with his debut album in 2000 while Faakhir released his debut
album Aatish in 2002. Aatish proved to be a milestone in Faakhir's musical
career. Now a 'composed crooner', Faakhir has come up with his second album
Mantra.
Composer, lyricist, singer and a heartthrob to
many, Faakhir Mehmood has established himself as a mature singer with a fan
following that many others dreamt they had. Listening to his music, one finds
lot of dedication and hard work put in which proves that Faakhir's music is
progressive which reflects artistic expressions that are traditional as well as
based on modern genre! No wonder, Faakhir can be termed as 'Pakistan's latest
pop sensation'.
