The fabled Shalimar ruby, a gem beyond price, is the protagonist in this action packed film. One of the biggest jewel-thieves in the world (Rex Harrison)is dying of a fatal illness and before he goes, he would like to stage a spectacular treasure hunt at his estate. The prize would be the Shalimar and failure means death. This event sees the gathering of some of the most famous names in the business, as con-men, thieves and other shady customers arrive. Among them are also some undercover cops.
