Sagar Chauhan (Sunil Shetty), a leader of the special protection squad is a man of great repute. He saves a judge from a series of attacks by Jabbar (Shahbaaz Khan) and Dhanraj (Pramod Moutho). Gopal Pande (Shehzad Khan), a close friend requests him to keep an eye on Pratap Rai's (Danny) wife, Meenal Rai (Raveena Tandon) who has suicidal tendencies. He reluctantly takes up the job. He saves her from commiting suicde. They gradually become good friends. Meenal’s fondness for him matures into love. When Sagar doesn’t reciprocate, she is heartbroken and commits suicide.

Lobo Fernandes (Sadashiv Amrapurkar), a retired constable who has looked after Sagar, forces him to accompany him to his hometown, Goa where he meets Pari (Raveena Tandon), an exact look-alike of Meenal. Sagar tries to prove that she is Meenal but Pari tries to convince him that she is a different person. Even Pratap Rai agrees that she is his wife.
