Adapted from the famous French novel “Madame Bovary”, this excellent film
details the life of Maya, a small town beauty with dreams, desires, and a will
of her own. Not for her the life of being the wife of a small town doctor. She
enters into a number of relationships outside her marriage, but finds even
adultery boring. Her self created mirages, her dreams and desires push her
towards living in fantasies. She was a lovely woman doomed by her desires and
dreams, sometimes tragic, comic, heroic and maybe magical.
