Wish Music makers realise that routine tunes and run-of-the-mill lyrics
cannot lift the face value of an album. Meri neend churale, the first song in
the album Kuch Dil Ne Kaha comes under the ordinary category. It reminds one of
the opening tune of Tujhe dekha to ye jaana sanam (DDLJ), followed by Meri nazar
ke samne aake which, though slightly different, is another take-off from the
same number. Incidentally, this is veteran composer late Anand Bakshi's last
contribution to the Hindi cinema. One asset of the album: Udit Narayan's voice.
Neend aati hai is a good number in an otherwise ordinary album.
