Colonel Balbir Singh Sodhi (Amitabh Bachchan) and Major Rathod (Jackie Shroff) are assigned to accomplish a difficult mission. Minister Virbhadra Singh (Danny Denzongpa) interferes in the logistics, resulting in the death of Major Rathod. An enraged Balbir attempts unsuccessfully to kill Virbhadra Singh. He meets with an accident while fleeing, and is declared dead. Three years later, Brigadier Bedi (Kabir Bedi) comes across a man called Dada Bhai, who is the image of the dead Balbir Singh. He appoints Major Ajit Arya (Nana Patekar) to find out the real identity of Dada Bhai. Ajit Arya, disguised as a journalist, tries every trick in the book to prove that Dadabhai is Balbir Singh but is thwarted at every turn. He persists, only to come face to face with the shocking and bizarre truth that lies behind the identity of Minister Virbhadra Singh. Directed by Mehul Kumar, this action-packed thriller brings together two great dramatic forces of the Hindi screen, Amitabh Bachchan and Nana Patekar. The film also stars Tabu.
