The marriage of a prince (Dilip Kumar) and princess (Meena Kumari) has been
arranged and the couple is deeply in love. Trouble comes in the form of the
prince’s scheming uncle, who’s trying to usurp the throne for his own son. On
the other hand, the princess’s army commander is in love with her and he tries
all his wiles to break up the relationship. The unhappy lovers meet in secret
but the army commander captures the prince and has him blinded.
