This is a story of today's fiery youth, which is the generation next. A boy
and a girl love one another but because of their inflated ego's do not express
their love to each other. Karan (Fardeen Khan) is born in Calcutta while Khushi (2003)
(Kareena Kapoor) is born in Chamoli, a village in Gadhwal, UP. Inspite of this
distance between two they are destined to meet. How they both get together? -
One can say its a miracle of God. Karan wants to go Canada for further studies -
but due to an accident that takes place he is forced to continue his studies in
Mumbai University, by his father (Navin Nischol). Khushi (2003)'s father (Amrish Puri)
believes that for a girl the education that she has received is enough and now
she should stay with him and mary a boy who is ready to be his son-in-law (Ghrajamai).
But Khushi (2003) insists on pursuing her education in Mumbai University. At the
University Karan has a friend called Vicky and Khushi (2003)'s friend is Priya.
