The fact that Premchand's daughter Rekha is not his own daughter was known only to Karam Singh. And he gave Karam ten thousand rupees every month to keep his mouth shut. Time passes and Rekha grows up to be a beautiful girl. Ajeet, a professional thief is just out after serving his sentence in jail. Considering Ajeet to be an honest man Premchand employs him. Rekha falls in love with him and when Premchand comes to know about their love affair he permits them to get married. But the doctor discloses Ajeet that he is suffering from blood cancer. To put an end to the blackmailing, Premchand requests Ajeet to steal the documents from the safe of Karam singh. Ajeet agrees. On the same night Karam Singh is murdered.
