Ashok Roy (Dharmendra) has every material wealth but has never known the love
of parents. So with a special place in his heart for orphans, he together with
his friend Mahesh (Mehmood) run an orphanage called Parvati Mandir. His first
meeting with Seema (Hema Malini), the niece of the Inspector General of Police
fails to impress, but when he generously signs a cheque of Rs 3 lakhs in aid of
the Defence Forces, she begins to see him in a whole new light. The acquaintance
blossoms into love, arousing the rage of Ramesh (Prem Chopra), Seema’s now
out-of-favor fiancée. Ramesh’s jealousy drives him to seek the help of Ajit, the
leader of a gang of smugglers, in whose hands Ramesh is a mere puppet because
Ajit knows his terrible secret… that Ramesh is not actually the grandson of Rai
Bahadur Jwala Prasad.
