Sanju (Aamir Khan), a carefree youngster and Anjali (Ayesha Jhulka) are
childhood friends and college mates. Ramalal (Kulbushan Kharbanda), Sanju’s
father, runs a cafeteria and trains Ratan (Mamik) his eldest son for the cycling
competition. Ramlal throws Sanju out of the house for misappropriating money,
which Sanju uses to buy a necklace for a sexy girl (Pooja Bedi) who comes to
town. An infuriated Deepak Tijori, a student of a rival college and a cycling
champion, bashes up Ratan. How Sanju takes up the challenge and competes in the
climax cycle race is simply scintillating.
