Don (Amitabh Bachchan), in an encounter with the police, is wounded and dies
in hospital. The police commissioner (Iftekhar), in order to break and capture
his gang, sends a look-alike Bhola (Amitabh Bachchan) after polishing him up. He
pretends to be Don, who suffers from amnesia and gets control of the gang. As he
learns of the secrets of the gang, Roma (Zeenat Aman)a gangmember tries to kill
him. He learns that she hates Don who had killed her brother and sister-in-law!
Bhola then has to walk the tightrope …saving him from being caught by the gang,
the police and from being killed by Roma.
