Ajay(Ashok Kumar) is a retired judge and Vijay(Jeetendra) is a superintendent of police. One day in a train Ajay murders Mahesh and a passenger Sandhya(Mala Sinha) sees that. Ajay warns Sandhya to keep her mouth shut and jumps out of the train. Sandhya tells police that she will recognize the murderer.

Vijay strats the investigation but due to lack of evidence he closes the case. But Jwalasingh doesnt want to close the case. With Sandhyas help he finds out the criminal and brings the police to Ajays house. In front of the police, Sandhya refuses to recognize Jwalasingh. Why does Sandhya turn back? Who is Jwalasingh? Does Vijay find the murderer.
