Dev's (Sunil Shetty) passionate love for Anjali (Shilpa Shetty) cannot be
denied but her wealthy father, Saigal, refuses to accept Dev as his son-in-law .
So, Anjali's marriage is fixed with Ram (Akshay Kumar), a rich businessman from
Delhi. Ram falls in love at first sight and Anjali is emotionally blackmailed
into marrying him. However, Anjali makes it very clear to Ram from day one that
that the marriage will not be consummated and keeps him at arms length. Ram is
quite happy to just keep up appearances and so he showers all his affection on
the rest of the family. Meanwhile, Dev turns into a business tycoon with a
little help from his partner Sheetal and returns to disrupt Anjali's married
life.
