Ram Thakur (Pradeep Kumar) is the generous and aristocratic patron of a village school where his own two young boys study. On a day when the school is celebrating an important function, a dreaded dacoit strikes and there is a massacre, in which Ram Thakur and his wife are brutally killed. One of the two sons of Ram Thakur is captured by the killers and grows up with them. In time he escapes, but wanders through the ravines of the Chambal valley, in search of peace. He becomes an outlaw, Badan Singh (Raaj Kumar) and his only solace is a dancing girl Tanno (Moushumi Chatterjee). His brother Ripudaman (Shatrughan Sinha), meanwhile, becomes a dedicated police officer and when the brothers meet and recognize each other, Ripudaman advises Suraj to give himself up. But Badan Singh is determined to seek justice for the murder of his innocent parents .This action-packed thriller is directed by Ram Maheshwari and has music composed by Khayyam.
