Raghuveer (Saeed Jaffery) and his wife, Veena (Reema Lagoo), have a hotel in the hills of Manali. Their only son is Vicky (Saif Ali Khan). They have adopted the son of their friends who had died in a Punjab terrorism event. This boy is Amit (Atul Agnihotri). Vicky & Amit have grown up together Vicky however does not get along with is father. He is a ambitious boy. He wants to go to Bombay and became a millionaire. Through the eagoring of Amit, Vicky gets permission to come to Bombay. In Bombay he gets into the underworld Don Masterji (Dalip Tahil). But when he discovered that Masterji has plans to create riots in Bombay to usurp power from the present Govt., Vicky rebels. The rebellion gets them into trouble. Amit comes to Bombay to help him. Out where, Amit meets a press photographer, Neha (Kajol) together they fight against armies of Masterji.
