Another Indian lady director takes a bow after Mira Nair, Deepa Mehta and
Tanuja Chandra. The name is Honey Irani. A name which is not new to bollywood as
she has been immensely popular scriptwriter for many flicks in past few years.
For her debut venture Armaan, a story revolving around the life of doctors, she
ropes in a talented team that comprises of ex-hubby Javed Akhtar as the dialogue
writer and lyricist, Shankar Ehsaan loy as the music composers and Dinesh Gandhi
as the producer. Add to this a starcast that boasts of Amitabh Bachchan, Anil
Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Randhir Kapoor and Gracy Singh, and you are confident that
half the battle is already won.
