Sunny Deol plays the role of Arjun Pandit, a simple college professor in
Haridwar. Into the life of the professor enters Nisha, a city girl who has come
all the way to Haridwar to research on the origins of Sanskrit. Arjun falls in
love with her, but she rejects him as she feels he is a coward since he is
against violence. Nisha returns to Bombay as she cannot change the ways of the
professor. Arjun becomes obsessed with Nisha and follows her to Bombay where he
changes his ways and profession to meet the standards which she has in mind.
Here, Arjun Dixit becomes Arjun Pandit.
