The film begins with Vandhana (Sharmila Tagore), being sentenced to 14 yrs in
jail. Her past tells us everthing. Her past starts off with Vandhana coming back
from somwhere to join her dad. Later Vandhana meets Arun (Rajesh Khanna), a
pilot, and they both like each other but are shy but come out of their ways.
Later they get married in front of god and get caught up in a storm and stay in
a motel together and things get tight and both can't help themselves. Vandhana's
ashamed but Arun is pleased they might be having a child and says he can get
them married in a week.
