Signs of Ageing
Both the needs of our skin and signs of ageing, such as wrinkles, vary according to age.
Research has shown that from age 30 most women are concerned with expression lines. From the age of 40, these expression lines become more marked and deepen to form wrinkles around the eyes and mouth. They are then combined with other problems such as loss of firmness and skin dryness.
How do Facial Expression Lines form?
Facial expression lines arise from the repeated action of your facial muscles as they form the various expressions you make every day. In young skin, despite the contraction of these muscles, the skin has enough elasticity to bounce back and smooth itself out again.
As the skin ages, your skin begins to lose these elastic properties and becomes unable to regain a perfectly smooth surface. As a result, marks or lines formed by facial contractions remain visible at all times.

Wrinkle Decrease is a new generation day cream from L'Oreal Paris Dermo Expertise that specifically targets facial expressions.
In their extensive search for the new breakthrough in anti-ageing, L'Oréal laboratories have developed a unique phyto complex of two active ingredients that has never been used before in an anti-wrinkle treatment:
Boswellic Acid is derived from the Boswellia Serrata tree originating from the mountains of India. The tree's resin has long been known for its purifying, de-contracting and relaxing powers.
The other active ingredient, Manganese Gluconate, has a direct action on skin cells and complements the relaxation achieved by Boswellic Acid. Rather than actively relaxing the skin cells, Manganese Gluconate has been proven in vitro to inhibit re-contraction of the relaxed cells. As a result the relaxed state of the skin's cells is prolonged, ensuring the appearance of expression lines remains smooth.
The Healthy Alternative
Wrinkle De-Crease has a unique texture, containing polyamide fibres and silicate derivative to mask and smooth imperfections. Skin is left soft to touch with every application.
